Key to Encountering His Presence
Worship is our greatest expression of love and devotion to the God who created us in His own image; who sacrificed Himself to redeem us from our sin; and is coming back to earth as Bridegroom to establish His Eternal Kingdom with His Bride (The Church). In its highest form, worship is a lifestyle of sincere obedience to the One whom we love with all our heart, soul, and might; seeking to please Him in all we think, say, and do. Our highest form of worship is therefore expressed in our diligence in seeking to fulfill His will and purpose for our lives. We also believe that we usher in the manifest presence of God into our midst (corporately or individually) as we worship Him through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs as we make melody with instruments and with our lips giving glory unto His name. Praise and Worship will be a central and focal point during our Worship Services. We acknowledge that God is seeking Worshippers, first, l who will worship Him in Spirit and in truth. We were created to worship!
Two levels we will express our worship:
Key to Unlocking All Doors
Prayer is our greatest expression of dependency on God. It speaks to our utter helplessness without His help and intervening grace. It is also the ONLY means which God has prescribed to allow Him to intervene in the affairs of earth. In other words, God will do NOTHING on earth EXCEPT in answer to (faith-filled) prayer. We need ‘prayer’ to interact with Heaven; God needs ‘prayer’ to interact with Earth. In fact, Jesus defined the inseparable connection between His church and prayer when He declared, “My house shall be called a House of Prayer for all nations (ethnicities)”. We recognize that our vision will be meaningless and fruitless without prayer (Day & Night) being inherent and pervasive in our individual and corporate lives. Jesus succeeded in His mission because of His prayerful life; the early church succeeded in its mission because of its prayer life; we will also succeed IF we PRAY!
Two ways we will fulfill our commitment to prayer:
Key to Growth
The Word of God is our final authority in all matters and hence forms the basis of our beliefs and worldview. It is the foundation upon which we build healthy relationships in families, communities, and nations. We believe it is the complete expressed will of God for mankind and takes precedence over the opinions of man. It is not subject to personal interpretation based on personal experience or popular culture. We recognize that “without faith it is impossible to please God” and since “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God,” preaching and teaching the Word based on sound biblical doctrine will be a strong focus. As a [Pentecostal Apostolic] five-fold ministry church, preaching and teaching will be done to both edify and equip the Saints to fulfill their kingdom assignment here on earth. Thus, our primary focus will be to provide the atmosphere and spiritual resources to Discover, Develop, and Deploy the spiritual gifts of members through biblical preaching (exhorting), and teaching (training).
Two levels of using preaching and teaching to train and equip the Saints:
Key to Connecting & Growing
Fellowship is the greatest expression of our commitment to one another. It provides a sense of belonging, a place of safety and security, and a place of fulfillment. Through fellowship we can strengthen one another, serve one another, bless each other, and accomplish great things together. We recognize that the strong bonds among individuals needed to build a strong church family/community are forged both within ‘spiritual’ and ‘social’ contexts. Hence weekly corporate spiritual activities (prayer & the Word) and monthly social activities (Godly entertainment, fun, & food) will be implemented. We adopt the axiom, “the family (Church) that pray and play together, stay together” as a guiding principle.
Two fundamental ways to incorporate fellowship in the Church:
Key to Fulfillment
Effective Outreach to our neighborhood, community, city, nation, and world is our ultimate expression of the inner work of the grace and love of God accomplished in our hearts and in our midst. We are only able to effectively fulfill the second commandment and the Great Commission to the extent that we have allowed the grace of God through the working of the Holy Spirit to empower us to fulfill the first and great commandment. In outreach to our community we freely give what we have already received from God. We give of our time, talents, and treasure (resources) to reconcile fallen humanity back to a loving Creator God. We recognize that we have been given the ministry of reconciliation to put a jewel of a soul in the crown of our Savior; that the Lamb of God who was slain will receive the reward of His suffering. We will achieve this through personal and corporate evangelism to our community by feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and sowing into World Missions.
Two key terms that we use to describe our outreach efforts:
